As project manager it is expected to lead and manage project management practices within an organization. This role involves establishing, maintaining, and improving project management standards, processes, and tools across the organization. 
 

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Framework & Governance
  • Develop, implement, and evolve enterprise-wide project management methodologies, standards, and governance frameworks (primarily Waterfall).
  • Ensure consistency, scalability, and adherence to best practices across all projects.
Portfolio & Resource Management
  • Oversee the end-to-end project portfolio, including prioritization, resource planning, and alignment with business strategy.
  • Optimize resource utilization to maximize delivery efficiency and outcomes.
Financial Management
  • Own project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining profitability targets.
Risk & Issue Management
  • Establish and enforce risk management processes to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Drive resolution of critical issues impacting delivery timelines or outcomes.
Performance Management & Reporting
  • Define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor project health and performance.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights to support data-driven decision-making.
Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Manage expectations and drive effective communication across all stakeholder groups.
Training & Enablement
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to project managers and delivery teams on methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to enhance delivery processes, tools, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement across the PMO function.
Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure all projects comply with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Experience
  • 10+ years of project management experience, with a strong track record of delivering complex, large-scale initiatives.
  • Prior experience leading PMO functions or enterprise project governance.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Leadership & Communication
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Technical & Analytical Skills
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
Business Acumen
  • Deep understanding of business operations and the ability to align project delivery with strategic objectives.
Industry Experience
  • Experience within FinTech or financial services is required.

Salary: $120,000-$135,000/year USD Based on Experience
